KRISTINA ZHDANOVA

SENIOR DESIGNER

Kristina studied Architecture in Moscow, Russia where she was born, graduating with a Masters degree in Architecture from the Moscow Architectural Institute. After graduation, she was involved in many types of architectural and interior design projects in Moscow, until 2006 when she moved to Vancouver. This was an exciting change in her life, with lots of new possibilities and challenges.

In her first few years in Canada, she worked at a couple of large, leading architectural practices, where she gained knowledge of North American construction standards.

After the 2008 recession, which hit big corporate-commercial projects hard, Kristina decided to change architectural scale and immersed herself in custom home design. At that time she obtained her LEED accreditation and began work at Synthesis Design where she worked for 4 years exploring the new world of custom home design, working closely with clients and contractors.

Following that, Kristina continued to refine her residential design expertise with over 6 years at Frits de Vries Architecture working on high-end contemporary designed homes. There she had the opportunity to work not only on exterior home design but also on detailed interior design projects.

Kristina joined Peter Rose Architecture + Interiors Inc. as a Senior Designer in 2019. She believes that successful and unique house design can be achieved through a process whereby both the homeowner and designer closely collaborate to combine their vision and expertise.
